About This Course

This is a classroom-based 2-day Occupational Health and Safety for the Asbestos Worker Training course that has been approved by the Government of Alberta.

This course is designed for any workers in Alberta who will be entering a restricted area due to an occupational hazard that exceeds or may exceed the occupational exposure limit for one or more hazardous substances.

This course identifies:

• Hazards like asbestos and asbestos-containing materials
• Health risks associated with exposure
• Legislation,
• Asbestos abatement methods and procedures,
• PPE
• Air monitoring and analysis
• Other safety concerns

Designed to expand upon your knowledge of best practices for asbestos abatement and gain confidence in your ability to carry out safe work procedures in an asbestos hazardous work site, and to provide you with the required certification for entering the “Restricted Area”. Our Asbestos Abatement Course is a unique experience that will ensure that you are able to carry out asbestos abatement methods safely and effectively.
